We all know, as ATV racers, bolts always come loose! We use nylon lock nuts, lock washers, red Loctite, blue Loctite, and everything else under the sun. However, for most machines, there are still bolts that come loose often and need re-torqued during every race prep. This is your solution!
These 2-piece washers provide more locking powder than nylon, split, tooth, and spring lock washers. Wedges on the inside lock the two halves together and serrations on the outside grip the material surface to prevent loosening from vibration and shifting. Washers are re-useable. Washers loosen by applying significantly more torque than the fastener torque spec.
Washers are sold in packs of 10. For blind bolts, this would be 1 washer per bolt. For through bolts (suspension fasteners, engine mounts, etc.) you would use 2 washers per bolt (one on the bolt side and one on the nut side).
These are made from stainless steel to prevent corrosion. These are not the cheaper zinc plated version. These are solid stainless steel.
